Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals - Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, such as bloodwork and urinalysis - Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians - Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures - Take and develop X-rays of animals - Provide basic grooming services, such as anal glands and nail trimming - Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures - Maintain accurate medical records for all animals
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician (RVT) or techician assistant in a related field is preferred - Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common diseases - Familiarity with veterinary equipment and tools, including X-ray machines - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
