Systems Analyst - Data Visualization

This position will have an 18-month incumbency period for a lateral move and a 6-month incumbency period for a promotional opportunity (beginning on the effective date of the position) which must be met before the employee can post for any other position within the company. The incumbency period does not affect the at will relationship between client and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
Requires a deep understanding & experience in data mining information retrieval & datasystems management. Focus on Data Visualization.
Skills/
Experience:
Strong knowledge of information retrieval, data mining, statistical & data analysis, & data architecture concepts
Ability to quickly understand business requirements & be able to translate into expected technical design
Familiarity of queues processing such as RabbitMQ
Interested in big data, statistical modeling, data mining, recommendation or search solutions
Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL skills
Solid understanding & working knowledge or relational databases (e.g. DB2 PostgresSQL Oracle etc.)
Ability to understand the rapidly evolving data visualization technology trends & tools
Assist in driving the organization's adoption of improved visual representation of data to allow clearer communication, viewer engagement, & faster/better decision-making
Assist in the research, development, & support of data visualization techniques and analytics
Passion for transforming data & research into compelling visual stories
Create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track key metrics & trends
Proven understanding & keeps abreast of industry trends as it relates to data arch., data mgmt, & data design tech & applies to work
Ability to understand technical environments and platforms for databases including data placement performance & security
Understanding of standard industry project lifecycles methodology from planning to delivery & management/support of solutions
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree Advanced degree or experience a plus
Experience with/solving enterprise-level data problems
Comfortable interacting w/executive management clients & internal teams
Experience with BI visualization tools ie. Cognos QlikView Acuate Pentaho Tibco Tableau & other emerging software
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only, client NOT willing to sponsor visas.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
