Business Development Analyst- Big Data

Reporting to the Services Director of Cloud, Analytics and Business Solutions, this individual will drive the business planning, development, partnerships and adoption of services around key Vertical Markets within HDS. The individual will focus on the following Vertical Markets (listed by priority): Communication, Media and Entertainment (CME) with emphasis on Telco, Healthcare and Life Science (HLS), Government, Financial, Oil & Gas and Automotive. Efforts include developing business plans to build and manage all professional services offerings and solutions, increasing profitability of existing services, establishing global partnership agreements and developing new services and go-to-market strategies based on market requirements for each Vertical market. The ideal candidate will have exceptional P&L Services management, service portfolio management including advisory services, BigData and Cloud and leadership experience. Ability to network and collaboratively work with internal and external stakeholders/customers is a must for this role. The candidate is a team player who works as a problem solver and thought leader.


Job Functions:

o Develop, socialize and evolve service business plans for each identified Vertical Industries and Big Data Analytics markets.
o Identify market trends and growth areas based on HDS' overall strategy around each Vertical Industries and Big Data Analytics markets.
o Accountable for expanding the Services business in the identified Vertical Industries and Big Data Markets
o Evaluate new service business models and revenue streams with Global Systems Integrations and Industry Vertical Integrator partners.
o Evangelize the value of Professional Services within HDS.
o Provide Sales support to deals involving multiple countries or continents.
o Drive strategic services campaigns and programs to help growth HDS' bottom line
o Build and manage GTM strategies with key services partners in the Vertical Industries and Big Data Analytics markets
o Lead the development of services to support the execution of the overall and vertical go-to-market strategies
o Lead the entire service lifecycle of all the services relevant to the Vertical Industries and Big Data Analytics markets.
o Work with product, engineering, sales, and regional professional services organizations to convert Vertical Market requirements into service requirements that meet standards of current / prospective customers
o Together with Marketing, conduct market research surveys, and customer/prospect visits to understand and specify business requirements for target market segments
o Analyze competitive offerings to identify differentiators, and to recommend pricing and competitive approach
o Document and report on service profitability and operational metrics
o Partner with Marketing to create required documentation that accurately reflects the features and benefits of Services for each Vertical
o Lead a virtual team of field Services business development and technical architects within the function for the development and continued improvement of vertical services to support and accelerate the execution of the corporate, GSI and vertical go-to-market strategies

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Services Product Management, Business Development or related area
10+ years of experience in building and growing Global and cross-functional programs.
10+ years of experience selling and/or delivering IT services in Vertical markets such as Healthcare, Life Science, Communications or Media & Entertainment
5+ years of experience selling and/or delivering IT Analytics Services, with technologies like Cloudera, Hortonworks or Splunk
Industry knowledge in at least one of the Vertical Market aforementioned.
College degree preferably in a major in Business Administration and/or Computer Science / MIS area
High degree of organizational, communication, verbal and written skills
Ability to describe ideas in a concise manner. Use collaboration to drive to a final solution. Able to make commitments and follow through.
Experience in (vertical) Cloud and BigData solution and/or services design, go-to-market and selling is a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
