TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a Payroll Director for one of our clients in Washington, DC NATIONWIDE SEARCH FULL RELOCATION MUST BE FROM A BIG BOX RETAILER

The Director of Payroll will lead and manage the end to end payroll process ensuring accuracy and timely payment each processing cycle. The Director will provide functional and compliance expertise for all aspects of global payroll, including the oversight of preparation and submission of all applicable quarterly and/or annual payroll related tax returns and employee W-2 related forms. The role will also participate in developing strategic initiatives that will help globalize, evolve and scale the payroll functions in a fast paced dynamic environment. The Director will be required to work across the organization, directly with associates and other key functional staff. The Director will need to understand business requirements, in collaboration with Senior Management, in order to design effective short and long term process improvements and solutions.

Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the Global Payroll Department with regards to accuracy, timeliness, excellent customer focus and in compliance with Company policy, tax jurisdictions and country specific laws affecting wage payments.
Build and maintain a strong team through effective recruiting, training and coaching.
Responsible for ensuring systems and processes correctly compute and record time, earnings, commissions, benefits and deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other components of payroll in a strong internal controls environment.
Partner closely with the HR Organization to ensure that the payroll function delivers on the requirements as it relates to Benefits/401K/etc.
Provide advice and guidance on payroll matters across the Company.
Own ADP relationship globally.
Maintain documentation on business payroll processes.
Develop and maintain a network of working relationships across the organization.
Develop and communicate with Senior Management on Company policy recommendations as it relates to payroll.
Lead implementations of global payroll.
Understanding and resolve challenges of multi-national payrolls.
Oversee internal and external audits as it relates to payroll.
Flexible while maintaining compliance, collaborate on alternative solutions.
Champion customer service to associates.
Upfront collaborative approach with other departments.
Develop world class payroll processing center through automation and seamless approach.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
8-10 years of experience in payroll management.
3-5 years' experience in international payrolls.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
Shared Services experience a plus.
Experience with various Payroll and HR systems, preferably SAP and ADP.
Experience in driving payroll in outsourced environment (ADP).
Experience with ADP Streamline (preferred).
Ability to manage and prioritize large volume of workflow processes
Strong customer service orientation, analytical, financial and system skills.
Experience maintaining SOX compliance.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
