WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?
Defines, designs and documents conceptual and logical data models
Develops clear definitions for data elements
Develops worked examples to promote understanding of data changes
Promotes consistent data naming standards (such as table columns, class attributes, etc.) across the enterprise
Captures metadata for data elements
Partners with business partners to ensure data needs are met and captured
WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?
Identifies and promotes data design patterns to promote consistency and reuse across enterprise data stores
Advances Data Design techniques within the data design community and across the enterprise
Keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices as it relates to data management and design techniques and applies to current work efforts
Drives, embraces and enables an environment of change - fostering innovation, championing initiatives, efforts and ideas for Systems and the enterprise
Leads and/or contributes to strategic work (highly complex and crosses multiple organizational boundaries) and influences team members and business partners
Provides input to business partners by acting as a point of contact on data and database issues
Utilizes, promotes and aids in defining processes such as: data design standards, guidelines and quality controls
Provides leadership and direction to others at the release or project level
Navigates and successfully leads any problem or project assignment to completion
Maintains solid relationships and strategic partnering skills with team members, business partners, and external associates
Serves as a change advocate, championing initiatives, efforts and ideas for Systems and the Enterprise
Uses a working knowledge of at least one Database management system, such as DB2, SQL Server, Oracle to complete assignments
Develops data design solutions and verifies they effectively meet business partner needs
Exercises sound judgment to diagnose and resolve problems within area of expertise
Uses a working knowledge of data standards and concepts in daily assignments
Collaborates with project teams to assist in delivery of data solutions
Develops advisor skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Locations include Bloomington, IL, Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ, or Dallas, TX
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only, client NOT willing to sponsor visas.
Skills and Professional Experience
Develop hypotheses, design experiments & test feasibility of proposed actions to determine probably outcomes using a variety of tools & technologies.
Masters or other advanced degrees (or five years experience) in an analytical field such as data science quantitative marketing, statistics, operations research, management science, industrial engineering, economics, etc. or equivalent practical experience are preferred but not required.
Experience with SQL, R, Python, Java, SAS or Map Reduce.
Experience working with numerous large data sets/data warehouses & ability to pull from such data sets using relevant programs & coding including, files, RDBMS & Hadoop based storage systems.
Knowledge in machine learning methods including at least one of the following: Time series analysis, Hierarchical Bayes; or Learning techniques such as Decision Trees, Boosting, Random Forests.
Excellent communication skills & the ability to manage multiple & diverse stakeholders across businesses & leadership levels.
This position will have a 12-mo. incumbency period for a lateral move and a 6-mo. incumbency period for a promotional opportunity (beginning on the effective date of the position) which met before posting
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
